The seventh research session under the Google exploreCSR Award, titled “Creating Engaging Learning & Teaching Experiences via Digital Technologies,” took place on July 30, 2024, at the Department of Computer Science Auditorium in a hybrid format. The event was organized by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Branch Chapter of the University of Jaffna in collaboration with Google Research. The session featured prominent speakers, including Professor Angela Carbone (Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Learning, Teaching, and Quality, STEM College, RMIT University, Australia), Professor James Harland (Director of the STEM Center for Digital Innovation and Professor in Computational Logic, RMIT University, Australia), Professor Michelle Spencer (Deputy Director of the STEM Center for Digital Innovation and Professor of Chemistry, RMIT University, Australia), Dr. Charu Rana (Team Lead of Learning, Teaching, and Quality Portfolio, STEM College, RMIT University, Australia), and Mr. Keith Hibbert (Virtual Experience Designer, STEM College, RMIT University). Approximately 90 participants, including students and staff from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Jaffna, attended the session. Digital tokens of appreciation were presented to the speakers.
