Faculty of Science Alumni Association Gold Medal in recognition of excellence in Curricular, extracurricular, outreach and social welfare activities
In commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of the Faculty, the Faculty of Science Alumni Association (FoSAA), in keeping with its commitment to promoting holistic student development and recognising excellence beyond academic achievement, has initiated the establishment of a Gold Medal to be awarded annually at the Convocation of the Faculty.
The award is intended to recognise students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in academic, research, extracurricular, outreach, and social welfare activities. The Faculty Board of Science, at its 212th meeting held on 13.05.2026, recommended this FoSAA initiative for the approval of the Senate.
The Gold Medal shall be awarded annually to the student of the Faculty who attains the highest marks during his or her university career, based on an approved point scheme. The evaluation shall allocate 50% of the total score to curricular achievements, including academic and research performance, and the remaining 50% to extracurricular, outreach, and social welfare activities.
