The College of Chemical Sciences of the Institute of Chemistry organized the annual inter university chemistry debating competition on 13/02/2018 at Adamantane House, Rajagiriya. Sri Lanka. A debate team of Department of Chemistry participated in this debate competition on behalf of University of Jaffna. University of Jaffna was placed first in the inter university chemistry debating competition. The team of the University of Colombo was placed second while the teams of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and the College of Chemical Sciences tied for the third place.
